Thu, 12 April 2007 PBCC South Campus Professor Fine tells us that the title refers to Ground Zero, which has been shortened by some of the police who survived. This is not a romanticizing of 9 11 but rather a story about Brian Remy, a hero cop who wakes up to find that he shot himself in the head just days after the attacks. There is a surreal, Kafka-esque flavor to this novel that is both disturbing and intriguing. The novel asks questions about morality, about forgiveness and also, about how September 11th changed us all. |
